What makes this big brother book different from a name-swap book?
Most big brother and big sister books are the same story about a nameless kid and a baby, with the name changed on the cover. Me the Star writes a new story from a real moment you describe, with the big kid drawn from one photo on every page[1]. The baby in the book is your baby because the moment was.
So the book is about the afternoon she met him at the hospital and asked whether he came with batteries, or the week he practiced whispering before the baby came home. It is the older kid's book, in the older kid's likeness, at the exact time when most of the attention in the house has moved down the hall.

How is a personalized big brother or big sister book made?
One photo of the big kid, one moment, and most parents have a finished, narrated book on screen in under five minutes[1]. That is short enough to do in the hospital parking lot or during a nap, which is roughly the amount of time you have.
One photo of the big kid
A clear photo of their face, from any month. We build a private likeness sheet from it, face, hair and skin tone, and reuse that sheet on every page, so the kid on the first page is the same kid on the last[1].

One real moment with the baby
Two or three sentences: the day they met, what the big kid said, what they insisted on doing. Or leave the baby out and write what they do best as the older one. The story is written from that, for the age you give.

Read it, fix it, print it
The book is narrated aloud in the app. Rewrite any line, redraw any page, and print only what you actually want on the shelf[1]. Every printed book passes a human reviewer and an automated likeness check before the press[1].

Whose book is it, the big kid's or the baby's?
The big kid's. One photo builds one likeness sheet, and one book stars one kid[1]. The app takes kids from ages 2 to 10[1], and the baby comes into the story the way you describe them: their name, the day, and what the big kid said. A personalized sibling book made for the baby is a book for the parents. This one is for the kid who just got promoted.
If there are two older kids, each gets their own five free stories and their own book[1]. The Family plan covers up to 3 kid profiles at $34.99 a month, with member prints at $29[1]. Two hardcovers, and no argument about whose it is.
What does a personalized big sister or big brother book cost?
Reading is free. Every kid gets five free stories, saved to your library for good, with no credit card[1]. You pay only when you print: $39 for one hardcover, or $29 as a member of any plan[1].
| What | Price | What is included |
|---|---|---|
| Read in the app | Free | Five stories per kid, narrated, rewrite and redraw, saved forever |

Every printed book carries a 14-day happiness guarantee: reprint at no cost or a full refund, your choice (source 1).
When should you order a big brother book?
Before the due date, if you want the hardcover in the house when the baby arrives. Standard ground delivery is 5 to 7 business days in the contiguous US[1], so approve the print two weeks ahead and the book is on the shelf before the car seat is. Write it about what the big kid does best as the older one, or about the day they found out.
After the birth works too, and is often the better book, because the moment is real: what they said in the hospital, or the name they wanted instead. Make the free version the week you are home. The narrated book on a phone is a present the big kid can have that night, with the hardcover following in 5 to 7 business days[1].
- Before the baby: a book about the big kid as the big one, printed before the due date.
- The first week home: the free narrated version, read on the sofa while someone else holds the baby.
- Once the moment has happened: approve the print, and the hardcover ships from Pennsylvania in 5 to 7 business days.
Which moments make the best big sibling story?
"Ava became a big sister" gives the writer nothing. "Ava checked both the baby's ears and announced she would be handling bath time" gives it a place, a decision and a picture, and a kid who was clearly there.
- The day they met: where it was, what they said first, and what they wanted to hold.
- The name they had picked out, and what happened to it.
- The thing they can do that the baby cannot yet: the slide, or the top bunk.
- The job they gave themselves: fetching the diapers, or singing at bath time.
- The week before, when they still had the house to themselves.
- Something they said about the baby that you wrote down and never used.
Write it in your own words. The story keeps the facts you gave it and is written for the age you give, so a two-year-old's book and a nine-year-old's book about the same hospital visit read very differently.
Questions parents ask
Is this a personalized big sister book too?
Yes. The book stars whichever kid is the older one. You upload their photo, write the moment, and the story is written about them as a big sister or a big brother. One page covers both because the book is the same: one older kid, drawn from one photo, in a story about their moment.
Does the baby appear in the illustrations?
Your kid is the one drawn from a photo. The baby is in the story as the moment describes them.
Can both kids star in one book?
No. One book stars one kid, built from that kid's likeness sheet. For two older kids, make two books: each kid gets five free stories, and the Family plan covers up to 3 kid profiles at $34.99 a month with prints at $29.
How old does the big kid need to be?
The app creates kid profiles for ages 2 to 10. Give the age when you set up the profile and the story is written for it.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is used to build the likeness sheet for the big kid. Photos are never used to train AI and are auto-deleted after your last order. The full policy is on the privacy page.
What if the print is not good enough?
Every printed book has a 14-day happiness guarantee. If the print or the drawing of your kid is not right, you get a reprint at no cost or a full refund, your choice.
