What makes this Christmas book different from a name-swap book?

Most personalized Christmas books put your kid's name into a story that was written and illustrated before they were born: a name swapped into a pre-written, pre-illustrated template[1]. Me the Star writes a new story from a real moment you describe, with your kid drawn from a photo on every page[1].

So the book is about your Christmas, the actual one. The year the tree fell over twice. The cookie plate that was mostly crumbs by the time it reached the fireplace. The drive to the street with the lights, in pajamas, with the heater on high. Your kid is in every picture, and so is the thing that happened.

It is also the present that reads well on the day. A book about the time your kid put carrots out for the reindeer at Thanksgiving, to be early, gets read aloud that night, again in January, and next December when the box comes down from the attic.

How is a personalized Christmas book made?

One photo, one moment, and most parents have a finished, narrated book on screen in under five minutes[1]. Do it on a weeknight in early December and the print has all the time it needs.

  1. One photo of your kid

A clear photo of their face, from any month. We build a private likeness sheet from it, face, hair and skin tone, and reuse that sheet on every page, so the kid by the tree is the same kid on the sled[1].

App screen: Meet Sofia, your AI character is ready
  2. One moment from your Christmas

This year's or last year's. Two or three sentences: what happened, who was there, what your kid said. The story is written from that, for the age you give.

App screen: reading a finished book aloud on a tablet
  3. Read it, fix it, print it

The book is narrated aloud in the app. Rewrite any line, redraw any page, and print only what you want under the tree[1]. Every printed book passes a human reviewer and an automated likeness check before the press[1].

When do you need to order a Christmas book for 2026?

Christmas 2026 is Friday 25 December. The book is on screen in minutes; the print is what takes time. Standard ground delivery is 5 to 7 business days in the contiguous US[1], so approve the print in the second week of December. Friday 11 December plus seven business days is Tuesday 22 December, three days clear.

If it is already 20 December, make the free version anyway. The narrated book on a phone is still a present on Christmas morning, read aloud on the sofa in the wrapping paper. Print it after, and it is the first thing on the shelf of the new year.

What does a personalized Christmas book cost?

Reading is free: five stories per kid, narrated, saved to your library, no credit card[1]. The hardcover is $39, or $29 as a member of any plan[1]. For two kids, that is two photos, two moments, two books, and no charge until you print.

Which Christmas moments make the best story?

Christmas is already a story, which is the trap. "We had a lovely Christmas" is not a moment yet. "Nico insisted the tree needed a hat, so it wore his beanie until New Year" gives it a decision and a picture. Pick the one thing that only happened in your house.

  • The tree: how it got home, what fell off it, who decorated the bottom third.
  • The cookie plate, and the evidence left on the plate the next morning.
  • The drive to see the lights, and the house your kid rated the best.
  • The present they asked for that turned out to mean something else entirely.
  • The relative who arrived late, or the one on the video call from three time zones away.
  • The Christmas with no snow, and what your kid did about it.

Last Christmas counts too. The story is written from what happened, so a moment from a year ago, told now, makes a book that arrives this year and reads like a memory. Write it in your own words and keep the details that would embarrass you a little.

Can it ship as a gift, and where?

Tick "Send as a gift" in the order modal and the hardcover ships to the address you enter at checkout[1], so a grandparent's copy goes straight to them. Delivery is standard ground in the contiguous US[1]. International shipping is not supported yet[1]; for family overseas, read them the narrated version on a phone.

One photo and one moment make one book. For two or three kids, each gets their own five free stories[1], and the Family plan covers up to 3 kids at $34.99 a month with member prints at $29[1]. Three hardcovers under one tree, each with a different kid on the cover.

Questions parents ask

Will a personalized Christmas book arrive before 25 December?

Yes, if you approve the print by Friday 11 December 2026. Standard ground delivery is 5 to 7 business days in the contiguous US, so the latest arrival on that plan is Tuesday 22 December. The book itself is on screen in under five minutes, so the writing is never the slow part.

Can the book come from Santa?

The dedication is yours, and so is the moment, so the book can come from anyone you like. The story stays true to what happened: if a plate of cookies vanished overnight, that is in it, and who ate them is your business.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Not yet. Printing and standard ground delivery cover the contiguous US, in 5 to 7 business days from Pennsylvania. The narrated book in the app works anywhere you can sign in, on any device, so family abroad can still read it on the day.

Can I make one for each of my kids?

Yes. Every kid gets five free stories, and each hardcover is $39, or $29 on any plan. The Family plan is $34.99 a month for up to 3 kids. Each book is built from that kid's own photo and that kid's own moment.

What if the moment I want is from last Christmas?

Use it. The story is written from a real moment you describe, and it does not need to be recent. A book about last year's tree, printed this December, reads like the memory it is.

What happens to the photo I upload?

It is used to build the likeness sheet. Photos are never used to train AI and are auto-deleted after your last order. The full policy is on the privacy page.

What if the print is not good enough?

Every printed book has a 14-day happiness guarantee: a reprint at no cost or a full refund, your choice.
